The Inner Relationship

Humans are naturally inclined to question why, yet we rarely take time to consider why we feel the way we do. Instead, we focus on the substance of our emotions and what we believe we need to appease them. The inner relationship is the first, most important relationship we develop, and it dictates our inner dialogue, which is a driving force behind our emotional development. The more clouded our inner relationship/dialogue, the more complicated and unsatisfying our relationships with others become. The goal of counseling should be to help strengthen this relationship, and thereby allow lasting love to grow individually, as a couple, and as a family.

The Beauty of Growing Love

Connections with others teach us about ourselves, and the power and complexities of our inner relationships. When the feeling of love changes, becomes tainted by animosity, or worse yet, disappears, we may think a relationship is over. However, the change is often just a sign that it’s time to grow. Through counseling, we can learn to recognize opportunities to improve our relationships with others while remaining true to our inner selves.
